BEL-EVAL overview
A standard instrument, the BEL-EVAL has been developed for use in the BEL faculty only. The BEL-EVAL includes all TEVAL lecturing items and some course evaluation items. Optional items cannot be added to the BEL-EVAL. It is used in accordance with faculty-developed guidelines and so differs in some respects from standard TEDI processes.
A BEL-EVAL is to be conducted for every course within the BEL Faculty. It is ordered on behalf of lecturers by a School representative. The evaluation materials are sent to the School representative, and then forwarded to individual lecturers. The questionnaire format and administration is the same as for other TEVAL instruments.
BEL-EVAL results are not confidential. Individual reports are sent to lecturers after student results have been formally posted. The format of this report is the same as for other TEVAL instruments. These reports are also sent to schools and faculties.
