Types of TEVALs and standard items
A range of instruments for surveying student perception of teaching and learning has been developed for use at UQ. Each TEVAL consists of a number of compulsory set questions. Most TEVALs also allow room for optional items to be added. See a sample TEVAL questionnaire (PDF 95KB). All TEVALs also give students the opportunity to write open-ended comments on areas of strength and those in need of improvement.
