Interpreting
TEVAL and iCEVAL reports
TEVAL and iCEVAL reports are sent to the person who ordered the evaluation, or in the case of iCEVALs the person who the evaluation was ordered on behalf of, once student grades have been formally posted. Click here to view a sample TEVAL/iCEVAL report (PDF 160K).
We recommend two approaches to understanding the results of your TEVALs and iCEVALs.
- Normative approach: Rating Interpretation Guides (RIGs)
The RIGs compare your results for each item against a set of norms and lets you know if your results fall in the average range, below the average range, or above the average range. The RIGs are only available for items which have an adequate amount of comparison data available. Click here to access more information about the RIGs. - Criterion-referenced approach: Percent Agreement
The percent agreement is the proportion of respondents who either agreed or strongly agreed with the item. We recommend a criterion of 70% agreement.
