Evaluation responsibilities

Effective evaluation practice is achieved as a result of collaborative and shared responsibility at different levels of university administration.

  • providing adequate support for the conduct of evaluation (eg resourcing Reporting and TEDI evaluation activities, allocating funds and other resources for responses to evaluations)
  • developing and implementing appropriate responses to evaluation reports
  • informing the university community and other appropriate stake-holders of responses to evaluations

Faculty and school level

  • guiding and coordinating practice through the development of systematic and coherent plans for the conduct of evaluation aligned with institutional policy
  • establishing structures and procedures for the support of evaluation (eg nominating staff for particular evaluation responsibilities and making provision for workload implications; allocating funds and other resources for responses to evaluations)
  • developing and implementing appropriate responses to evaluation reports
  • informing appropriate stake-holders including the DVC (Academic) and faculty and school staff and students of responses to evaluations

Program and course level

  • establishing structures and procedures for the support of evaluation through the development of systematic and coherent plans consistent with faculty or school guidelines
  • developing and implementing appropriate responses to evaluation reports
